This is great! My co-teacher in second grade and I are having a horrible time with our students not listening to, reading, and/or following directions. I think that we are going to have to use this. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletePlease let me know how it goes. I can't wait to try it out with our students, just to see who really reads directions. Some of them are just so smart they can figure out most of their work without reading the directions. Teaching children to slow down, read, and think is my goal...especially for those of my students who are capable but pop up from their seats 10+ times daily to ask "What do I do?" or say "I don't get it..." when I know good and well they can read!! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a paper like this that I give my kids each year...well, I did in 3rd grade. I might have to wait until the end of the year in 2nd, but it really let's me show them how much they DON'T follow directions...ha!
