Thanks to Amy Lemons @ Step into Second Grade for sharing this! We were just beginning cause and effect when I found this project using A Bad Case of Stripes. I knew this story would be a good one, and honestly I just didn't want to do the Mouse & Cookie thing again. It's a great story, but I think even the children get burned out on it. I know they do it in first grade at our school, so that was my excuse to go with this...as if I needed one! Par excellence!!
Check out Camouflage Camilla!
See Camilla Orange? ;) Somehow I got two
of this one...
Not everyone is finished...anyone have an idea why it takes
some of our sweeties soooooo long to write a paragraph or two? Yeah, I know...they're just immature, not ready, and all that...It just hurts my heart when some simply won't write even tho' I know they are capable. :*( This was an amazing story idea, though!! Much thanks to whomever shared...I love it! :D

So cute! Although I have to be honest and say that I haven't done this because Camilla's eyes scare me a little bit. =)

I went back and put pupils on most of my students' Camillas. My teamie across the hall did this, too. Some of her students made the eyes looking to the left, to the top, and all over. Theirs were cute! I wish I'd thought of that. Mine sort of look scary, I know. :/
